I decided to make this post for WordPress users who are trying to get their sites to run as fast as possible.
The main reason for this is a faster site generally means lower bounce rate and higher conversions. Not better search positions, I have no evidence to suggest that improving page speed improves your positions in SERPs.
I recommend a few plugins along the way, and these can be found under the video. I am not affiliated with these plugins in any way; I believe that combining them gives you your best chance of getting a high score.
I am using Google page speed insights, and I also reference GTmetrix in the video.
Google Pagespeed Insights is pretty useless for end-users in the UK for technical reasons, so I use GTmetrix.com as well to gain a better understanding of changes that need to be made.
So let’s get started.
